The Quintana Family Album and Ranchos

The two ranches willed by Estevan to his sons are Rancho San Bernardo and Rancho Potrero. Rancho Potrero's location is pretty much where Cal Poly is located. Rancho Bernardo is next to Morro Bay.

Estevan had his foot amputated at age seventy-seven and survived the operation which was unusual in those days

This Sketch of Estevan was probably done about 1850. He left Rancho San Bernardo to Pedro and half of Rancho Potrero to his oldest daughter Maria Prudencia (married-Miguel Serrano in San Luis Obispo circa 1845)
