Places to eat that we like and think you will also.

We have dined at the following places and recommend them based on our experience. We will try to add more as our diets permit.

The Hungry Fisherman

This is a good choice for a family breakfast but I have had excellent fish and chips here also. Moderate prices and great service.

China Dragon

Located in North Morro Bay, this is a great place for Chinese dining. This place is clean. They serve super fresh vegetables and all foods are individually prepared. Go for it.

Family Seafood Dining at Tognazzini's

This is indeed a family place. Make a reservation if you are here on a weekend. Fish is great and meals are moderately priced. You can't go wrong.

Taco Temple

This place is packed. It has been awhile since we were there but the cars out front tell the story. A world famous place. Well, sort of as my nephew in Chicago heard about it and was told not to miss it. Someone told me the fish taco was great. Located in North Morro Bay.

Giovanni's for lunch on the waterfront

I confess I haven't eaten there but their dining area is packed and there is a line-up waiting to order

Great places to go that cost more

Harbor Hut

Located on the waterfront and a tradition in Morro Bay. I recommed eating steak because that's all I have eaten at the Harbor Hut. They are pricey but who want a cheap steak? Friends and I have never had a bad one. I think they have to have some type of dry aging process as they are tender.

Hoppe's in Cayucos for lunch and dinner

Lunch is great with sheltered outside garden dining. We shared one of their specials with another couple and had a nice lunch including a glass of wine for about $32.

Brunch at the Inn at Morro Bay

They don't stop pouring champagne--although Wells Fargo is looking for a buyer, this is a great place now. They have three courses with many choices in each course. For $25 this is a bargain.
