Lawrence Carver and Earl Roberts leased the docks from the state. They didn't charge for spaces but eventually the docks fell into disrepair and the city took over.

The Bonnie Doon (with a sail) was owned by Bert Guftson. The Azelea also in the photgraph was owned by Charles Haglund.
