Here's Jack

Jack's real name was Ernest Calder Price. He died in Chatahooche, Florida August 8, 1942. Variously a middleweight and light heavyweight, Dillon dominated the ranks of both weights for many years. He fought out of Indianapolis, Indiana. He only lost one battle and that was very early in his career when he was twenty years old.

This news story apparently resulted from a rumor that Jack Dillon was to meet the then heavyweight champion of the world, Jess Willard. Probably the most interesting fact in the article is the proposed money to be paid the principals. Dillon the challenger would receive $10,000 and Jess the champ $30,000
